It’s been a hot minute (well 6 years, but who’s counting?) since the last Alkaline Trio, the criminally underrated Is this thing Cursed? but the long wait for new material has finally come to an end. Blood, Hair and Eyeballs is the 10th studio album from the spooky goth punk trio. At this point in…
With life being as unpredictable as it is, it is always best to operate with a never say never policy. With that in mind, I really don’t think anyone saw a Blink-182 reunion coming. With Tom Delonge having left the band behind to become an alien researcher and Mark & Travis continuing on with Matt…
Considering how active they’ve been since their formation in 2018, and how quickly they’ve risen to the top of the crop of Britain’s latest wave of modern rock and metal, one may be surprised to learn that Wargasm only released their first EP in 2022. After an intensive year supporting the release of Explicit: The…
Beartooth are one of those bands I adore. Not only are they one of the best bands of their ilk musically, but frontman Caleb Shomo is one of the most brutally honest lyricists and endlessly endearing frontmen in the whole game. For well over a decade now they have perfected their particular brand of mental…
Jake Oni dropped one of the surprise hidden gems of last year with Loathing Light, under his Oni moniker. It was an album that I enjoyed, while also addressing that it did seem to have a bit of an identity crisis. Oni is back with a follow up already in the form of The Silver…
Twin Temple has a touch of Ghost syndrome. Wherein their imagery very much does not entirely match the music the band puts out. You’d be forgiven for thinking you were going to get something dark, gothic, possibly symphonic metal as opposed to the music by The Ronettes, lyrics by Slayer that you are ultimately met…
At this point it seems redundant to call Creeper one of the most innovative and interesting bands in the Rock scene. Much like Code Orange, their particular brand of art is fully immersive, ever evolving and they never make the same thing twice. In fact they have become somewhat known for the emphatic nature with…
It seems mental to think that in the grand scheme of things Carnifex are now considered veterans of the Death Metal scene. 18 years into doing this and yet people still act like they only popped up recently. When you listen to their latest album Necromanteum, you can here that vintage running throughout. Somewhat erroneously…
It’s safe to say the last decade has been a trying time for Of Mice & Men. Lineup changes, genre hopping and finally finding their feet. Bands have broken up over less. From sanding down the edges on Restoring Force to the Nu Metal revivalism of Cold World, there was a period where they felt…
It’s hard to believe that Blood Command only dropped their last album Praise Armageddonism roughly 14 months ago, and we already have a follow up. World Domination is their 5th album and 2nd with Nikki Brumen. You should probably know by now to expect the unexpected when it comes to Blood Command. But even still…
