While bargain hunters gear up for Black Friday at the end of this month. Record collectors have the date marked for an entirely different reason. Thanks to a fresh batch of Record Store Day exclusives landing at local indie stores on November 28th.
RSD Black Friday generally isn’t held in quite the same regard as it’s longer running counterpart. However, there are some real gems on this years list. So, we’ve put together our top five RSD Black Friday releases to make sure you don’t miss out on the big day!
1. Ghost – Skeleta
The latest chart topping album from Tobias Forge and his band of nameless ghouls. Skeleta has already been released on almost every format imaginable. From splatter and liquid filled vinyl releases, to cassette tapes and the humble CD. Ghost die-hards already have a veritable all you can eat buffet of variants to choose from.

However, whether you’re a completionist that needs every version, or you’re still catching up on this years biggest releases. The RSD exclusive picture disc is definitely worth adding to your list. Especially as it’s limited to just 5000 copies worldwide. Making it one of Skeleta’s rarer editions.
2. Creed – Live in San Antonio (11/14/1999)
Stadium rock giants of a bygone era, Creed have found their way onto this years RSD list. Bringing a previously unreleased live album to the party. Recorded in San Antonio Texas back in 1999 when Scott Stapp & Co were at the height of their powers. Live in San Antonio features a tracklist packed with every radio anthem that propelled the band to stardom.

It doesn’t matter if you’re here for the half time show memes, the white Monster fueled sing-along moments or just the vibes. This silver double LP deserves your attention. Especially as it’s limited to just 3000 copies!
3. Motorhead – Live in Brixton ’87
No Record Store Day list would be complete with a drop from the mighty Motorhead. The bands series of “Löst Tapes” vinyl releases may have come to an end last year. That doesn’t mean the vault at Motorhead HQ is empty though, far from it!

Pressed on blood red wax and limited to 2500 copies, Live at Brixton ’87 hasn’t been available on any format for nearly three decades. Making it a must have for fans of everything louder than everyone else. As well as a perfect introduction to the amphetamine powered prowess of early Motorhead for the as yet uninitiated.
4. In Flames – Breathing Fire Live 2024
It’s been a long time since In Flames have entered the RSD ring. The Swedish melo-death heavyweights are coming out swinging this November though. With a brand new live album, captured during 2024 on their headline tour in support of Foregone.

Tracklist details remain scarce, however if the bands previous two live albums are anything to go by, Breathing Fire will be one of RSD Black Fridays heaviest releases. With the gorgeous picture disc packaging being the icing on the cake!
5. Alice Cooper – Welcome To My Nightmare Live From the Forum 6/17/75
Rounding out this years haves, we’ve got a classic dose of shock rock from the master himself, Alice Cooper! Released in celebration of the 50th anniversary of his now legendary debut album, Welcome to my Nightmare. This previously unreleased live album is packed with hits.

Recorded live at the L.A Forum, it’s more than just another live album. It’s a time capsule from an era when Cooper still terrified parents the world over, rather than rounding out their drive time playlist. Allowing a whole new generation to discover Cooper at his terrifying best!
For more information on these releases and everything else on this years list, you can head over to Record Store Days official website. We’ll see you in the queue on November 28th!
