The legendary Roundhouse thrums with electrifying energy as Hot Milk are set to take the stage, ready to make waves! Alongside the support of Silly Goose and Cassyette, Hot Milk always embrace the moment. An infectious exuberant flair encapsulates them and the the audience. The band’s meteoric rise despite only being on their second album is nothing short of astonishing and a testament to their relentless passion and hard work.

Silly Goose (7) the quirky nu-metal band kicked off the night, making their debut performance outside the U.S. The chemistry with the expectant crowd builds with every second, as frontman Jackson Foster sets the atmosphere ablaze with his wild antics, shouting “Fucking Slide!” This instantly pulls everyone into the fun.

Next, the stage explodes with the powerhouse presence of Cassyette (7), launching into her fierce track September Rain. Despite it being only her third show of the year, she delivers a seasoned performance that feels like sheer magic. The haunting melodies of When She Told Me strike deep emotions, resonating like a fresh bruise. She keeps the audience on their toes, teasing them with a new song titled Oops. This new song feels vibrant and funky leaving everyone buzzing for more.

Finally, the moment everyone has been waiting for erupts as Hot Milk (8) blasts onto the stage, ready to throw the ultimate party! Their discography, infused with raw emotion and unapologetic energy, sets a thrilling tone for a night full of chaos and catharsis.

In a cheeky political jab, Han Mee the frontwoman addresses the “flag-shaggers” hanging St George’s flags, but from there, the focus shifts. “Every single person is forgetting about the world outside,” she proclaims, creating an electric connection that resonates deeply with the audience.

As the set kicks off with the thunderous Hell Is on Its Way, a few songs in the energy then skyrockets with 90 Seconds To Midnight. The latter launches the most chaotic pit of the night into pure frenzy, with Han prowling the stage with guitarist and singer Jim Shaw shredding like there’s no tomorrow. Together, they truly embody the exhilarating chaos of the evening.

The Roundhouse is transformed into a sanctuary of joy cascading over the crowd. Tracks like the raucous Over Your Dead Body and the euphoric Bloodstream send waves of exhilaration surging through the room. Then what follows is a darker, heavier version of Candy Coated Lies breathing fresh life into something familiar.

The crowd is swept away by the fiery energy of tracks like Sunburn From Your Bible, propelled by Jim Shaw’s electrifying screams alongside the gritty anthem The American Machine, and the power-packed Insubordinate Ingerland. But amid the fire and fury, it’s not anger that fuels the night.

As the vibe intensifies, the energy shifts beautifully. The band takes a moment to soak in the electric atmosphere. Suddenly, the room softens. Han Mee gazes out at a sea of loving fans, leading into an awe-inspiring rendition of Breathing Underwater. “Hot Milk is an emotion,” as the band like to say, and tonight, that emotion is nothing short of heartwarming, life-affirming bliss. The whole set hurtles by in a heartbeat, leaving everyone exhilarated. The only disappointment was, that it was over all too fast, until the next time, Hot Milk.
